Total visits and revenue tell you how big a genre is, but they're dominated by a handful of viral hits, where a few mega-games can make a niche look richer than it is for the average developer. Median visits per game is the niche's batting average: it shows what a typical game in the genre actually achieves, robust to outliers. The Market Strength score weights these together (demand-led, with competition as a light modifier), so a crowded genre needs exceptional typical visits to score well, while a genre with strong median visits and few rivals rises as an underserved opportunity. Cross-reference the columns: high median visits with a low game count is demand outpacing supply, while a crowded genre with a low median is a saturated market where most games struggle.
